Current Zoning Map

Traffic Flow - Current Zoning Map

Note: Secondary traffic flow shown (in yellow) from the proposed development
Loma Verde - Larkspur - Hollyhock - Gardenia

Can we afford to have the additional traffic generated from this size of a development use this route to travel to and from Walnut Street or for that matter, Wal-Mart?

  1. The proposed zoning change would greatly impact the new homeowners in the Bella Vista section of Mockingbird Heights. Worse, some of the potential owners are under contract, but no included in the notification since they are not the "official" homeowner of record. Bella Vista and Armadillo will not oppose the development. More back-scratching from the New Braunfels development community.

  2. When I was researching this neighborhood for my property our developer (Manuel Moreno) told us that the property in question was going to be garden homes built by him and called Loma Verde III. I specifically asked what was going to become of that property prior to buying my home.
I have spoken with Mark Goodner (our city council member) and he told me it would be best if we could locate an actual building plan, sketches, or other documentation indicating that Loma Verde III was going to be at the location in question. I don't have that info. Does anyone else? Mr. Goodner also told me that we will need to follow this process through the Planning and Zoning meetings as well as the City Counsil meetings that will address this zoning change. He suggested that we email each of the city counsil members so they are aware of the opposition prior to their meetings.
